On September 21, Turkish-backed military police arrested Hassan Khader, a Kurdish citizen from Al-Bab region, accusing him of espionage for ‘the party (PYD)’ in the occupied city of Afrin, according to our correspondent.
Hassan Khader, a 55-year-old resides near the Suleiman Al-Halabi School (Mektebê Reş) in al-Ashrafieh neighborhood, also operates a store selling cleaning supplies. Approximately two months ago, he faced harassment and was forced to pay a sum of two thousand dollars for his release.
“afrinpost” has documented 27 cases of arrest and abduction since the beginning of September 2023. Among these cases, four are women, including three with their children. Additionally, seven IDPs have been detained, and four cases of release have been confirmed.
