Turkish-Backed Militants Loot and Destroy 75 Olive Trees in Afrin Countryside

afrinpost – Exclusive

Local sources reported to “afrinpost” that on September 13th, Turkish-affiliated armed individuals ruthlessly cut down 75 olive trees and subsequently stole their entire yield along the Prophet Houri road, in the Sharan sub-district of the occupied Afrin countryside.

The land in question belongs to Mr. Hannan Hassan, a resident of the village of Saarinjak, in the Sharan sub-district. Mr. Hassan currently resides in the city of Afrin and works as a taxi driver. Disturbed by the malicious actions of these armed groups, Mr. Hassan lodged a formal complaint at the military police headquarters in the town of Sharan. However, to his dismay, his complaint seems to have fallen on deaf ears, with the authorities completely disregarding his plea for justice.

Furthermore, “afrinpost” has documented another incident where armed individuals callously cut down ten olive trees near the village of Qurtqalaq on September 5th, 2023. These trees were the property of Mr. Sheikh Mus Nasan, a resident of the village of Qastal Kishk.
