On August 16th, the Syrian regime’s army launched a series of attacks targeting 16 positions belonging to the “Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham” (HTS) militant group. The strikes were conducted across various fronts, hitting areas such as Al-Atarib, Al-Wasatiyah, Al-Qasr, Kafr Amma, Tadil, Kafr Ta’al, and Kafr Nouran in western Aleppo countryside. Additionally, areas including Sarmaniyah, Duwayr Al-Akrad, Al-Ankawi, Al-Qahira in the Sahl Al-Ghab region of Hama’s countryside were targeted. Furthermore, strikes occurred in areas such as Al-Kubaynah, Al-Tuffahiya, Ain Issa in northern Latakia countryside, and Al-Fateera in the Jabal Al-Zawiyah region of eastern Idlib countryside.
According to sources, the bombardment resulted in civilian injuries and material damage inflicted upon the targeted militant positions.
Meanwhile, a separate incident on the evening of August 15th saw two members of the “Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham” organization wounded when a military vehicle affiliated with the group was struck by Syrian regime forces. This incident occurred along the route connecting Al-Atarib and Kafr Nouran in the western Aleppo countryside. The vehicle was subsequently destroyed as a result of the attack.
