Turkish Forces Shell Village Near Afrin, Syrian Regime and SNA Clashes Continue in Aleppo

On July 23rd, Turkish forces positioned in the village of Jilbir shelled the vicinity of the village of Abbin, belonging to the sub-

district of Sherawa in the countryside of Afrin, with four mortar shells. Fortunately, the attack resulted only in material damage.

In a related development, intermittent clashes broke out on the evening of July 22nd between the Syrian regime’s army and the Turkish-affiliated Syrian National Army militias on the Maraa-Harbul axis in the northern countryside of Aleppo. Fortunately, there were no reported human casualties from these clashes.

Earlier on the same day, three individuals, including a child, were wounded during mutual shelling between the Syrian regime’s army and the “Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham” organization on axes in Aleppo and Hama. The area witnessed intense reconnaissance flights by Russian reconnaissance aircraft during the incidents.
