Every farming season in Afrin, Kurdish farmers face the relentless onslaught of armed individuals who systematically destroy and loot their crops, in addition to unlawfully grazing livestock on their land.
In this regard, our correspondent reports that a group of thieves, hailing from the village of Tal Jabin in the northern Aleppo countryside, are stealing the harvest of Kurdish residents in the villages of Ain Dara, Basuta, and Burj Abdullah in occupied Afrin.
Our correspondent explains that these armed individuals park their Suzuki vehicles within the orchards of Kurdish farmers during the fruit season. They randomly pilfer various fruits, including apricots, pears, peaches, apples, and more, subsequently selling them in the markets of Afrin city.
It is worth noting that no one from the local population is able to approach or deter them, as they are heavily armed during their fruit pilfering activities, instilling fear and preventing any interference.
