Despite the presence of numerous surveillance cameras installed by the Turkish authorities throughout the streets of occupied Afrin, armed individuals continue to carry out theft operations targeting the properties of local residents. Additionally, they persist in selling houses seized from Kurdish civilians since the onset of the occupation in March 2018.
In recent days, unidentified thieves have stolen seven motorcycles, primarily belonging to IDPs in the occupied city of Afrin.
Furthermore, the battery of an agricultural tractor belonging to Hannan Sheikho, a resident of the village of Çiya in the Rajo sub-district, was stolen in Al-Zaidiya neighborhood of Afrin city.
On another note, the house of Mohammad Suleiman, a resident of the village of Jwaiq located al-Ashrafieh near the Aleppo road, was sold for two thousand dollars by a member of the Turkish-backed “Al-Mu’tasim” militia named Ali Omar to an IDP from Eastern Ghouta named Mohammad Seijer.
