afrinpost – Special
Our reporter in the city of Afrin stated that the militias of the Turkish-backed “Al-Jabha al-Shamiya and Sultan Murad” evacuated yesterday, Thursday, June 16, all their camps in the occupied city of Afrin, in the villages of Kafr Janneh, Qart Qalaq, Mashala, and the grain silos located between the cities of Azaz and Afrin, after receiving information about the possibility of being targeted by Russian military aviation.
Local sources also reported that the so-called “Hay’at Tha’iroun” had evacuated its camps south of Afrin from all military vehicles and elements.
The evacuation coincided with the entry of a military convoy of the Turkish army carrying cannons and tanks through the Al-Salama crossing, located 5 km from the occupied city of Azaz, to the areas under its control in northern Syria.
On the other hand, the Iranian forces strengthened their positions in the cities of Nubl, Al-Zahra and Tal Rifaat in the northern countryside of Aleppo, with large military reinforcements that included tanks, personnel carriers, heavy artillery, rocket launchers, and hundreds of soldiers from the Syrian regime forces affiliated with them, after Turkish President Erdogan threatened a new military operation targeting the Manbij and Tal Rifaat regions on May 30th.
On June 12, a Russian military convoy consisting of 8 military vehicles carrying logistical materials and troop carriers entered the Al-Ziyara crossing and headed to the city of Tel Rifaat and the Russian military base at Faseel Mill.
