Turkish intelligence arrests Kurdish elderly in Syria’s Afrin

The Turkish forces in the city of Afrin arrested on Sunday, May 8, a Kurdish elderly man on charges of dealing with the former Autonomous Administration.

Our reporter said that the Turkish intelligence arrested the 70-year-old Kurdish citizen, “Mustafa Hannan Muhammad” from the village of Dargir in Mobata district, from his home in the village, on charges of joining the reconciliation committee in the village’s commune during the autonomous administration period.

Our reporter added that the pro-Turkey Afrin court will issue a verdict on him tomorrow, Thursday.

On the other hand, the “Political Security” militia released the citizen “Aref Ibrahim Khalil” yesterday, Tuesday, May 10, after he paid 3,500 Turkish lira. “Aref,” 33, was arrested on Saturday, May 7, at the checkpoint of the “Political Security” militia while he was returning from his place of work to the city of Afrin. They took him on the accusation that his brother had joined the Syrian Democratic Forces.
