Turkish authorities arrest and release citizens for ransoms, in Syria’s Afrin

The Turkish authorities kidnapped a Kurdish citizen in Shiyh district after returning from Lebanon, and released another in Mobata district in exchange for a fine of 3,500 Turkish liras.

According to our reporter today, Wednesday, that pro-Turkey militants arrested on May 19, the citizen “Ahmed Suleiman Bakr” (32 years old), nicknamed Farhad, and from the village of Jaqla Wastani in Shiye district, three days after he arrived from Lebanon to Afrin, and he was taken to the security headquarters in the center of Shiye/Sheikh al-hadid district.

On the other hand, the “civil Police” militia released, yesterday evening, Tuesday, May 24, “Fawaz Muhammad Haidar” (39 years old), the mayor of the village of Korkan Tahtani, , after forcing him to pay a fine of 3,500 Turkish liras.

The “Civil Police” militia, accompanied by elements of the Turkish intelligence, arrested the citizen “Fawaz” from his home in the village of Korkan Tahtani – Mobata district, on May 17, on charges of dealing with the former Autonomous Administration, and he was taken to the militia’s headquarters in the town of Mobata.
