According to our reporter in the city of Afrin, “the pro-Turkey militias of the Sultan Murad Division lure girls and women to the village of Deir Sawan – Shara / Sharan district in the countryside of Afrin, under the pretext of smuggling them to Turkey, only to blackmail their families in exchange for a ransom.”
“Members of the Sultan Murad Division militia lured (Mrs. Kholoud Faisal al-Yousef and her daughter Maryam), who are from Damascus countryside, under the pretext of smuggling them to Turkey from the Dera Sawan border village. However, they kidnapped them and demanded their family to pay a ransom in exchange for their release. After negotiations between the familiy of the kidnapped women and the gunmen, the latter released them last evening, in exchange for a ransom.” the reporter said.
