The plight of olives continues in Afrin region, which is occupied by the Turkish forces and the militia of the Muslim Brotherhood, through seizing the fields, uprooting and logging trees, confiscating the season in various ways, imposing royalties before and after harvesting, and even on the roads, and preventing family members from taking care of olive fields on behalf of their families and brothers.

Afrinpost correspondent reported that the “Sultan Muhammad Al-Fateh” militia of the Turkish occupation army seized the field of olive trees that contain more than fifty trees over 60 years old, and owned by the Kurdish citizen Osman Suleiman, who is from the residents of the village of Maamla, affiliated to Mobata district.

The citizen Osman was forcibly displaced due to the Turkish occupation and now resides in the city of Aleppo, and he has one of his brothers residing in the village, and he was the one who took care of the field, but the militia seized the trees and did not allow the brother to take care of them.

Today, “al-Hamzat” militia of the Turkish occupation army harvested the crop of about fifty olive trees owned by the Kurdish citizen “Hussein Muhammad Abdo” from the people of the village of Qujuma in Jenderes district. After the olive harvest was completed, they cut down trees and uprooted them. Its roots are to be sold as firewood in the markets, noting that the trees are productive and are more than seventy years old.

In the same context, gunmen of “al-Hamzat” militia also, yesterday, Sunday, cut down olive trees on the dirt road between the villages of Terenda and Qibar, and the owner of the olive field was not known.
