Elderly Kurdish man from Marate was summoned to testify, then they arrested him and defrauded him, later he had a heart attack

Afrinpost – Special

What is usually circulated in the media is the general context of events, i.e. the news in its political and material dimensions, but not the story behind it in its emotional and moral dimensions, and despite the overlap of the news with the story, there is a big difference between them, and here is an example of the story behind the news.

Four months ago, Rizan Sheikh Sadiq, a resident of the village of Marate, was arrested, and after three months of arrest, the court summoned the elderly citizen “Walid Hassan Abed,” who is the owner of the oil press in Marate, and went to the city of Azaz, to testify before the occupation court in the hope that his testimony leads to his release, but the court claimed there is of a security file against him, and he was arrested immediately.

On 12/20/2020, the Afrinpost published news about the arrest of 3 citizens from the village of Marate – Afrin Center, on different dates, and they are: (1- Muhammad Ahmad Ibrahim. 2- The elderly Walid Hassan Abed 3-) Rizan Sheikh Sadiq 4- Khoshnav Qilij).

According to Afrinpost sources, days after the arrest of the Kurdish elderly Walid Hassan Abed, the occupation court demanded a ransom of six thousand US dollars in Azaz for his release, so his cousin “Haj Fuad” offered him the required assistance, but the occupation authorities did not release the elderly person after paying the ransom in a complete fraudulent operation, but Haj Fuad did not give up, so he sought the issue of releasing his cousin, and there are unclear details that led to his sudden death in a heart attack, about ten days ago, while the elderly Walid Abed suffered a heart attack as a result of oppression, and was subsequently transferred to the Izzaz Hospital for treatment.
