The afrinpost correspondent reported that al-Shamiya Front militia launched a massive arrest campaign this morning, Tuesday, 12/22/2020, in the villages of Husseh / Mirkan and Shitka / Sherkan after they were besieged. He indicates that the two villages were subjected to horrific violations, and the citizens who were kidnapped were known:
1- Khalil Hamdi son of Husni, from the village of Husseh.
2- Faisal Hamaliko, from the village of Husseh.
3- Naasan Sino, from the village of Husseh.
4- Abdo Kanj Khamis, from the village of Husseh.
5- Bangin Abdo son of Aref, from the village of Shitka.
The reporter stated that the citizen Khalil Husni Hamdi was abducted in a violent manner, as the gunmen beat him with sticks, tied him to a rope behind a car and was dragged onto the asphalt road.
Regarding the arrangement of today’s events, the reporter said that military vehicles and others loaded with Dushka weapons arrived at the village, along with a large number of armed men, some of them masked, and then they began to raid houses and kidnap a number of citizens, and it was not possible to know the number of the abductees. They arrest citizens and drive them to cars. ”
He added that a state of anticipation and anxiety prevails in the village, while the sounds of gunfire are heard intermittently to intimidate the citizens and prevent them from leaving their homes, amid a media blackout, and it is not possible to know what is happening on the ground, and he fears major violations in the village.
On the other hand, the village of Husseh / Merkan has been undergoing difficult conditions since mid-November, due to the high number of cases of Corona virus, which led to several deaths, which necessitated the imposition of a complete quarantine on it, and there are a number of infected cases who have not recovered to date.
It is noteworthy that the campaign came against the background of the detonation of an explosive device on the evening of Friday 12/18/2020 against the so-called “Abu Muhammad al-Hazwani,” a leader in the “al-Shamiya Front” militia in the town of Mobata /al-Maabatli, and resulted in his injury with his driver in addition to two other persons. al-Shamiya, under the pretext of the bombing, launched a random kidnapping campaign that affected dozens of the townspeople.
