The so-called “General Authority for Zakat” affiliated with the Turkish occupation and the organization of the Muslim Brotherhood in the occupied Kurdish region of Afrin, northern Syria, imposed new royalties on Afrin’s original Kurdish residents, after their oil and olives had previously been stolen.

According to what the commission issued, the Turkish occupation and its militias that have occupied Afrin since 2018, legalized for themselves to take zakat from the civilians who were burdened by theft and did not benefit from the season this year.

According to the correspondent of “Afrinpost”, the Turkish occupation and its militias are searching daily for new ways and methods of theft, the last of which is zakat on the season, most of which was stolen originally by the Muslim Brotherhood militia gunmen in Afrin.

“The owners of olive crops are required to pay the zakat of their crops (5%) half a tenth through the General Commission for Zakat,” the authority’s statement said, in addition to other items through which the Turkish occupation analyzes its theft of the people’s crops.

The Turkish occupation and its militias had used many methods to steal the season of the people this year in Afrin, where they entered directly into the groves of the people and forcibly stole them and even expelled their owners.
