Yesterday, Monday, the Repaying the Injustices Committee held a meeting with the mayors of neighborhoods in Afrin center and its affiliated villages, in which it requested the presentation of a board with the names of citizens who were in Afrin and their properties were seized, but on the other hand, the Islamic militias affiliated with the Turkish occupation and the Muslim Brotherhood began in the villages threatening mayors in the event of complaints against them.
In the context, the militants of the “Samarkand” militia, who are based at near the Agricultural Bank, threatened the Kurdish homeowners, who were seized by them, in case they complained to the group of Restitution of Rights.
The committee is composed of the leaders of al-Jabha al-Shamiya militia, they are ( Naim, Abu Ali al-Kurdi, Nidal Bayanouni, Ahmad Kabusu, Abu Rahmu Malakshah, Walid Kidro and Muhammad Hamadeen Abu Riyadh (the leader of the Military Police militia).
In Afrin, the committee issues formal lease contracts to settlers who own homes and shops belonging to the people of Afrin without requiring the first party to pay financial dues to the property owner.
A Kurdish citizen who has several properties in the sector occupied by “Ahrar al-Sharqiya” said that he went to the committee’s center to file a complaint with the aim of retrieving homes and commercial stores that he owned. However, the committee refused to decide on it and told him, “What do you want to do with all these houses and shops, and one house is enough for you?” They warned him that the area in which he is present is under the control of the “al-Sharqiya” militia, and this matter may expose him to problems.
