Afrinpost correspondent reported that “Ahrar al-Sharqiya” militia, affiliated with the Turkish occupation and the Muslim Brotherhood organization, are setting up a checkpoint at Birine factories on the Afrin-Rajo road, and they prevent most of the people from harvesting the olive season, and they ask them for official documents from the Survey Department, as they put it.
The reporter adds that the purpose of hindering the people from harvesting the seasons is to gain more time while the lines of thieves steal the season.
In another context, the Afrinpost correspondent reported that the aggression against olive trees and seasons continues under the Turkish occupation and the control of the militia of the Muslim Brotherhood. On Tuesday, October 20, 2020, gunmen from the “Ahrar al-Sharqiya” militia cut down 30 olive trees in the village. Qada, in Rajo district, owned by a forcibly displaced Kurdish citizen, whose name has not been revealed.
The reporter added that the gunmen, after cutting trees, turned them into firewood to sell them later.
This is not the first time that the security checkpoints of the Turkish occupation militia imposed a “brotherhood” royalty on the vehicles that cross the road carrying olive or olive oil.
