Clashes took place today, Saturday, between settlers from the village of Anjara and “Al-Jabha Al-Shamiya” militia in the “Gunde Hise-Mirkan” village of Mobata / Maabatli district in Afrin, due to the militia’s arrest of a number of settlers.
According to the Afrinpost correspondent, the cause of the clashes is due to the arrest of the “Levantine Front” militia, five settlers from the people of Anjara who occupy the village’s homes, due to the two parties’ quarrel over the sharing of the stolen olive season of the villagers
The correspondent confirmed that one of the notables of the Anjara settlers had threatened “Al-Jabha Al-Shamiya” militia to escalate the matter and not be silent if the militia insisted on not releasing the five settlers.
The militants and their settlers’ families raised the pace of their movement in all parts of the occupied Afrin region to steal the livelihood of the Kurdish citizens of the olive crops, and by direct orders from the Turkish intelligence in order to deprive them of their main source of income, “olives” and push them to leave their homes for the benefit of the settlers.
