Afrinpost – Special

Yesterday, Monday, hundreds of Syrian mercenaries carrying arms in the ranks of the “Sultan Murad and Ahrar Al-Sharqiya” militias affiliated with the Turkish occupation and the Muslim Brotherhood organization, headed to Azerbaijan, amid encouraging to go there Friday sermons in the mosques of Afrin by the imams who were appointed by Turkish occupation.

Afrinpost correspondent from Afrin reported that the Turkish occupation authorities sent yesterday about 2,300 contract killers of the Sultan Murad and Ahrar al-Sharqiya militants from Afrin to Azerbaijan to fight alongside the Azerbaijani army against the Armenian army in Artsakh – Nagorno Karabakh region.

The correspondent confirmed that the militants headed from Afrin to Bab al-Salama crossing, where they were gathered there, and then went to Gaziantep airport, where Turkish planes took them to Azerbaijan.

The reporter also said that the imams appointed by the Turkish occupation authorities play an important role in encouraging the people to send their children to Azerbaijan and issuing the fatwa of fighting there as jihad and fighting against the infidels, and the reporter confirms that he heard that in the sermon last Friday.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights had documented the killing of 107 Syrian mercenaries until 10/9/2020 on the day the ceasefire was reached, as it announced the killing of 26 mercenaries within 48 hours.

He mentioned the arrival of a batch of more than 400 mercenaries from the militia of Sultan Murad and the Hamzat, and that another batch is preparing to be transferred by the Turkish government to Azerbaijan within the next few hours and days. He pointed out that the number of Syrian mercenaries who were transferred there is no less than 1450 after the transfer of a batch of 250 mercenaries during the past week.

It is noteworthy that with the transfer of the current batch, there is an increase in the frequency of the transfer of mercenaries in light of the declaration of a ceasefire between Azerbaijan and Armenia reached last Friday under the auspices of Russia.

Afrinpost stated that two offices were opened in the city of Afrin to register mercenaries willing to fight in Azerbaijan, after Afrin became a center for sending mercenaries to the conflict areas in Libya, Yemen and Azerbaijan.
