The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported that it documented the killing of 18 Syrian mercenaries loyal to the Turkish government during the ongoing battles in the “Nagorno Karabakh” region, which is disputed between Azerbaijan and Armenia, and that among the dead was a military leader in “Hamza Division” militia named Adel Al-Shahir, nicknamed “Abu Shahir ”. Which according to the Syrian Observatory’s sources, was the keader the “Hamza Division” militia groups in Azerbaijan.
The observatory added: The death toll of Syrian mercenaries has increased since they were brought into the first ranks of the battles by the Turkish government, since the end of last September, to at least 188 people, including 123 dead whose bodies were brought to Syria, while the rest are still in Azerbaijan. .
