The Turkish occupation forces made a sudden decision on Thursday, the sixteenth of this July, to close the (Ghazawiyah – Darat Azza – Deir Baloot – Atma) crossings between Afrin and Idlib.
Accordingly, the movement of civilians, medical organizations, relief and civil defense was prevented, as part of what it calls precautionary measures, after detecting several cases of infection with the Corona virus in the occupied Idlib governorate.
In this context, a circular was issued regarding the closure of crossings between the occupied Afrin region and the northern countryside of Idlib, but the circular excluded the passage of militants only without their families.
In a related context, gunmen of the “Al-Shamiya Front” militia affiliated to the Turkish occupation and the Muslim Brotherhood, two journalists near the Deir Ballut crossing point, which connects between the Idlib areas, because they photographed the lines of parked cars as a result of the Militia’s closure of the crossing.
The Al-Gazawiya- Darat Azza crossing point was previously closed on April 4, in front of civilians, and the crossing was restricted to commercial purposes.
On the twelfth of July, the Russian Sputnik website, quoting local sources, said that the number of confirmed cases of Corona virus at Bab Al-Hawa crossing reached 12 cases.
Fears come as a result of the flight of 3 of the infected from the hospital, and fears have risen with the increase in the number of Coronavirus infections as a result of the irresponsibility measures that the occupation institutions deal in Afrin with the health and safety of the residents.
