Activists circulated information about extensive abuse operations against the people of the Kurdish village of “Alqina / Al Jadida”, which is located in the area between the Kurdish region of Afrin and the occupied town of Azaz.
That village did not submit during the era of “autonomous-administration” to the control of the “People’s Protection Units” because of its proximity to the concentrations of the Muslim Brotherhood militants known as the “Syrian National Army / Free Army”, and the lack of supply lines close to the village, in the event of any armed confrontation especially as the militants deliberately bombed residential areas, which would have turned the village into an easy target.
The activists said that the so-called “Majd Alwan” one of the militia “Al-Shamiya Front” leaders affiliated with the Turkish occupation and the Muslim Brotherhood, is practicing the most severe abuse and violations against the people of the small village whose number of homes is estimated at 50 houses.
As a result of the lack of security in the village, most of its people were abandoned during the previous years of war, so Muslim Brotherhood militias recently completed the abuse operations against the remaining Kurdish indigenous inhabitants, in order to displace them and seize their properties.
According to the activists, the residents of the village of “Alqina / Al Jadida” filed complaints against the so-called “Majd Alwan” of the “Military Police” militia, who only gave oral warning, so that “Alwan” burned a house from the village on the pretext that it was a “cell” of “YPG” apart from assaulting the youths of the village more than once by the Alwan militia.
Islamic militias carry out attacks of this kind from time to time, in the various regions of the occupied Afrin region, where Islamic militias seek to create an atmosphere of intimidation by carrying out collective aggression operations against the people, in order to prevent them from responding to their violations and continuing violations.
