Afrinpost – Special
Terrorism is not limited to carrying weapons only, but its forms are numerous, and among the worst is the production and promotion of narcotic substances. In the shadow of the occupation of the Kurdish region of Afrin in northern Syria by the Turkish occupation army and the Muslim Brotherhood militia known as the “Syrian National Army / Free Army”, the area has become outside all laws, and the environment was provided to handle all kinds of contraband, thus completing the occupation’s destruction of the region by targeting public health and minds and spreading a culture of addiction.
In the context, a special source from the district of “Shara/ Sharan” told the Afrinpost correspondent: Three settlers from the Al-Sukkari neighborhood in Aleppo (a mother and two of her sons) opened a factory of narcotic pills several months ago (such as Captagon, tramadol, Paltan and paste) in addition to weed.
The source added: “The factory is visible to all, even children, and it is located between the villages of Masarkeh and Qetmeh in the district of Shara / Sharan, in the Kamal Ezzat grove, after these settlers occupied it.”
The source pointed out that “this factory sells pills to pharmacies in the region, and this is carried out with the knowledge of the Turkish occupation, as they sell their products to the leaders of Islamic militias.”
In the same context, another source said that a person called “Abu Yazan Al Homsi” is selling pills to the militants in the “Shara / Sharan” district, and noted that the weed is being cultivated in the village of “Kafar Mazzeh” of “Shara / Sharan” district, exactly at the home of the so-called “Ismail Lahibi”.
During the era of “autonomous-administration” in the period from 2014 to 2018, the “General Command of the Asayish Forces” has always announced through press conferences the seizure of car bombs alongside weapons, ammunition and drugs, as Ankara has always sought to pass it towards Afrin.
During that period, the Asayish forces destroyed large quantities of narcotic substances several times, before the cameras ’lenses, and in the presence of representatives of“ autonomous-administration ”institutions and civil society organizations. These efforts received praise from the people of Afrin, before the Turkish military occupation turned the region into a lawless sphere for gunmen and settlers to spread corruption.
