Afrinpost – Special
About seven months ago, a Kurdish family decided to return to the village of Sinka / Sankarli, affiliated with the “Shara / Sharan” district, according to the Afrinpost correspondent in the district.
The correspondent explained that the Kurdish citizen, “Muslim Safar Hambasho / 24 years old”, accompanied by his wife, Ghalia Gawish, and their child, “Ali”, contacted about seven months ago, with an armed man of the “Sultan Murad Brigade” militia to smuggle them to the occupied Afrin for $ 300 USD.
Adding that the armed man handed the Kurdish family to the headquarters of the “Military Police” militia in the village of Qatma, which is led by “Abu Arab”, where he immediately arrested the family, and the husband “Muslim” was sent to the Military Police prison in Afrin, while his wife Ghalia and his child were thrown in Marateh prison.
The reporter indicated that the family had been living in the town of “Ahraze / Ahras” in the Shahba areas since they were displaced more than two years ago from their village, Sinka.
He added that the militia released the citizen “Ghalia Gawish” and her child “Ali” about a month after arrest, while the citizen “Muslim Hambasho” is still detained in the militia’s commercial high school prison until today.
Islamic militias rely on kidnapping as a means of obtaining money, which is one of the methods they followed since the beginning of the occupation of Afrin, while the Turkish occupation supervises these operations as one of the methods of displacing the Kurds and preventing the displaced from returning.
