Islamic militias affiliated with the Turkish occupation and the Muslim Brotherhood continue to use the seizure and expulsion of the indigenous people as a means of blackmail, imposing pressure and restrictions on those who remain in the occupied Kurdish region of Afrin, with the aim of displacing them from their homes for the benefit of the settlers from various conflict areas in Syria.
In the context, the Afrinpost reporter at the “Shieh / Sheikh Al-Hadid Center” said that the militia of “Sultan Suleiman Shah / Amashat” Brigade, led by the so-called Muhammad al-Jasim Abu Amsha, had expelled on May 8 this year the Kurdish elderly woman, “Zaloukh Batal Alo”, about 70 years old, from her home.
The reporter pointed out that the elderly is the wife of the old man “Hussein Battal Alou”, a resident of the village of “Chaqaleh Orte / Jaqal Al-Wastani”, who was expelled from her home after she was insulted and threatened with death and seizing her house by force, in order to resettle a family of relatives of the so-called “Abu Amsha “ in her place.
On May 5, the Afrinpost correspondent said that the militia, “Sultan Suleiman Shah” had threatened to expel a Kurdish elderly woman from her house in a village belonging to the district, in case that her son, who resides in the city of Afrin, failed to pay the amount of two thousand dollars.
He confirmed at the time that the militia contacted the son of the Kurdish elderly woman, “Subhi Battal Alo,” who resides in the city of Afrin and works in one of the service departments in it, and asked him to send an amount of two thousand dollars, and in case he refuses to do so, she will be expelled from her house, where she lives alone.
The correspondent explained that the Kurdish elderly woman is now bedridden, after she was forcibly expelled from her house, as a result of the oppression and sorrow she lives with.
Zalloukh is not the first elderly woman to be expelled from her home in Afrin, or even in her village.
