The terrorist attack in Afrin is a Turkish attempt to justify the attack on Al-Shahba

Afrinpost

Yesterday, Wednesday, the London Arab newspaper published a report saying that Turkey is seeking to accuse the YPG of being behind the attacks and bombing operations in the occupied area of Afrin in northern Syria, to find a pretext for the occupation of the town of Tal Rifaat, north of Aleppo, especially since the Turkish media is focusing remarkably The need to control it.

The newspaper said that Turkey and its pro-Brotherhood militias are having difficulty controlling the security situation in the areas they occupied in northern Syria, especially in Afrin, where the city is witnessing an escalation in the pattern of attacks and bombings.

The newspaper added that Turkey accuses the YPG of being behind the operations targeting its soldiers and loyalists in Afrin, from the adjacent Tal Rifaat, amid questions about whether these accusations are presented to a new Turkish operation targeting Tal Rifaat.

Analysts say that such questions seem legitimate, especially since a remarkable focus in the Turkish media on the area of Tal Rifaat and the need to control it is noted .

The head of the Turkish regime, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, has previously vowed to occupy the area after his Muslim Brotherhood militia occupied Afrin in 2018, in a battle called the “Olive Branch”.

According to the newspaper, “The Kurds fear that there will be a Russian-Turkish agreement for Ankara to occupy in the region, within the framework of the agreement concluded between the two parties last March regarding Idlib and its environs.”
