The Afrinpost correspondent said in the Raju district of the occupied Kurdish region of Afrin, that the Islamic militias affiliated with the Turkish occupation and the Muslim Brotherhood continue to abuse the indigenous people who remained on their land, as part of their efforts to displace them and settle others on their lands.
In this context, gunmen from the “Sultan Suleiman Shah Brigade” militia yesterday beat a Kurdish citizen after he refused to pay the “rent” fee imposed by the militia on the remaining Kurdish residents in the center of the “Shieh / Sheikh Al-Hadid” district for their stay in their homes, according to the “Afrinpost” reporter.
The reporter stated that the militia beat the Kurdish citizen, Ibrahim Dadu Abu Nashat, and seriously wounded him, which necessitated his transfer to a hospital in Afrin, due to his refusal to pay ten thousand Syrian pounds a month in exchange for staying in his own home.
The “Sultan Suleiman Shah Brigade” militia imposes a rent of 10,000 Syrian pounds on the house owners of the indigenous Kurdish residents of the town, in exchange for allowing them to continue to live in their homes.
Islamic militias carry out attacks of this kind from time to time, in various regions of the occupied Afrin region, the last of which was the attack by Al-Shamiya Front militia on the thirtieth of March, on a Kurdish grocery shop owner and his sons, because of their refusal allowing the robbing of foodstuffs from their shop, the militants tried do it, according to the “Afrinpost” reporter.
