Afrinpost – Special
The Turkish occupation continues to mobilize more militants of the Islamic militia affiliated with the Muslim Brotherhood, from the occupied Kurdish region of Afrin in northern Syria, to plunge them into the fighting in Idlib, despite its claims of a cease-fire between the Syrian regime on the one hand and the militants affiliated with Ankara on the other hand, where Putin and Erdogan will meet tomorrow, Thursday.
In this context, the reporter of the “Afrinpost” in the Afrin region center said that the Turkish occupation intelligence, arrested on Monday \ 2 of March, 8 settlers from Ashrafieh camp near the (water tank), because they fled from the Idlib battles, and they are armed from the “Front Al-Nusrah. ”
The Russian Ministry of Defense had accused for the first time yesterday, Tuesday \ 3 of March, by the head of the Russian Center for Reconciliation in Syria, Major General Oleg Goravlov, the Turkish occupation authorities of settling the Turkmen in areas from which the Kurds were expelled, which led to a fundamental change in the demographic composition To those areas.
It referred to that settlement by emphasizing the orientation of those fleeing Idlib towards Afrin, by saying: “Objective monitoring means, including drones, and testimonies of local residents reveal the following of the population movements in the area, which according to him are carried out to:
1- No more than 35,000 people have moved to Turkish territory, and they are members of the families of terrorist groups such as the “Headquarters for the Ahrar of Al-Sham” (formerly the Al-Nusra Front) and the Turkestan Party of Islam, and “Guardians of Religion”.
2- To the so-called “olive branch” area (Afrin) – about 50 thousand people (although the number is much lower than the estimates of the Afrin people and the Afrinpost correspondents).
Observers are likely to witness military operations in the occupied northern Syria in the border strip that extends from the Jarabulus region to the Kurdish region of Afrin, military operations in the next stage, if the Russian-Turkish escalation continues.
Observers point out that the Russians have settled their affairs, as events show, that it is time for them to unilaterally control as an international force controlling the Syrian file, especially after the death of Qasim Soleimani and the Iranian role has receded, which may encourage the Russians to confront with Ankara, to force it to exit as well.
Certainly, the Turkish occupation is not concerned with or interested in Idlib and its people, but it has tried and continues to obtain concessions from Russia, allowing it to invade Kobani and Ain Issa, in conjunction with the invasion of the regime and Russia to Idlib, which appears to have been rejected by Russia, after its success in cramming the presence Turkish in a narrow and non-strategic corner in the far northwest of the country.
Followers believe that the Russians have in their grip all the power factors in Syria, while the war waged by the militants of the Muslim Brotherhood known as the (Free Army, National Army, and Jabhat al-Nusra) in Idlib, it is for the sake of apostasy in defense of Ankara’s expansionist ambitions, but they will not counter Russian military power, no matter how much they receive Turkish support.
