Mid-November: 41 Kurds, including 9 women, were abducted in Afrin

Afrinpost and other news sources on the occupied Kurdish province of Afrin documented cases of abductions affecting the indigenous Kurdish population by Islamic militias affiliated with the Turkish occupation and the Muslim Brotherhood, in an effort to displace and exile them outside their land, rob their property and seize their lands, and implement a comprehensive demographic change more than the current, where the Kurdish population as a people living on their historical land in Afrin fell from 95% to about 25%.

The following are documented cases of kidnappings as of mid-November, which are only a fraction of what is leaked to the media:

  1. On November 3, nine young Kurds were abducted by the Turkish intelligence services more than a year and a month ago under the pretext of being YPG. In early October 2018, the Turkish Intelligence Agency abducted nine Kurdish youths from the village of Amara / Omar Ushagi of Rajo district under the pretext of being YPG, despite being civilians, namely (Ibesh Muhammad Mahu, Masoud Majid Kalkawi, Genghis Mustafa Naasan). Ahmed Mohammed Ibish- Rashid Sabri Mohou- Idris Mustafa Naasan- Hussein Ahmed Kalkawi- Firas Faek Kalkawi- Hamouda Kholousi Jaafar).
  2. The Sultan Suleiman Shah militia abducted citizens (Abdo Khalil Hasso and Mustafa Hassan Hammo) from their home in the village of Kakhera of Mobata / Ma’batli district in order to extort them financially.
  3. On 5 November, four Kurdish citizens were abducted by the “Military Police” militia: Said Muhammad Majid, Hamid Saro, Ibrahim Abdel Kader and Sadiqa Kord Naasan. 4- The militia “Liwa Al-Fath / Division 132”: (1) abducted Fatima Manan Quero 65 years old, 2) Mohammed Yusuf Rahho 70 years old, 3) The wife of Muhammad Yusuf Rahho 65 years old, 4) Rahim Batal Moussou 58 years old, 5. Ali Fahim Koso, 35, Idris Hanan Kilo, 30, from Tirmisha village.
  4. On 7 November, the “Military Police” militia continued to arrest Kurdish youth Shiyar Jagli, accused of working for former Self-Administration institutions, in Afrin Water Company.
  5. On November 10, the Kurdish Democratic Union Party’s media office in Syria documented the kidnapping of four Kurdish citizens, on November 1, Kameran Abdel Qader Manan, a 30-year-old resident of Jinderes district, was abducted by a militia, and his fate remains unknown. On 5 November, an armed group of Islamic militia raided a number of houses in the village of Satya – Maabatli / Mobata before firing bullets in the air to terrorize the people. Three brothers (Imad, Lazkin, Ali) Zeno sons Ahmad were abducted. Citizen Tawfiq Hussein Qarajul and Issa Qarajul are wanted and their fate remains unknown.
  6. On 12 November, the arrest of a Kurdish citizen, Lukman Suleiman Hassan, for more than three months by the “Military Police” militia.
  7. Militia “Military Police” arrested Kurdish youth Farhad Sheikh Sidi.
  8. On 13 November, Failaq al-Sham militia abducted six Kurdish citizens in the village of Kabashin: (Jassin Abdo Mohammed, Riad Qusho Esso, Ghassan Loay Esau, Mohammad Abdul Qader Hendi and Ismail Hammo Haidar, Zahir Suleiman Abdo).
  9. On 14 November, six Kurdish nationals were kidnapped in the city center of Afrin by Turkish intelligence and the militia of (Political Security). They were: (1) Khadija Qara Ali, 2 Amina Qara Ali, 3 Fadila Muhammad, 4 Fadila Kreko 5 – Fadila Seydou – Hayat Qara Ali), and the eighty years old Nuri Qara.
