Islamic militias affiliated to the Turkish occupation and the Muslim Brotherhood have kidnapped the Imam of the village “Dersiwan” in front of the mosque of the village of “Dersiwan” of the “Shara / Sharan” in the countryside of the Kurdish region of Afrin, activists said Wednesday.
Activists said that the “Civil Police” militia raided the house of Imam “Ahmad Waqas” on October 17, and kidnapped him along with his daughter. They added that the imam is a resident of the village of “Dersiwan”,and he is a disabled person with a foot disability.
The fate of the imam is still unknown, along with his daughter. Local sources said that the kidnapping comes after of the Imam’s support for the people of the village, and talking about the abuse committed by militants of the militias of the Muslim Brotherhood organization, known as the “National Army / Free Army.”
A group of militias occupy the village of “Derswan” near the Turkish border east of the Kurdish region of Afrin, including the militia “Sultan Murad Division” and militia “Jabha Shamiya.”
