Our correspondent in Afrin reported that Turkish-backed SNA militants continue to arrest residents of the Afrin region, particularly among those who have recently returned.

Today, the “Military Police” militia detained two residents in Afrin city: Hassan Alo (52 years old) and Shorash Khalil Alo (35 years old).

Two days ago, the same militia arrested Farid Ali Ali (41 years old) from Mobato/Maabatli town and Rezan Mustafa Ali (38 years old) from their homes near “Hassoun” car wash in Afrin’s Al-Mahmoudiya neighborhood.

On Saturday, December 14, 2024, Abdulrahman Nasser (35 years old) and Shiyar Hassan (34 years old) were also arrested from their homes near the cemetery in Afrin’s Zaydiyah neighborhood.

Earlier, on Wednesday, December 11, the “Military Police” checkpoint at the Shat crossing west of Azaz detained Hikmat Mohammed (49 years old) from Darwish village in the Sharan sub-district.

Additionally, ten days ago, the same militia at the Qatma checkpoint in Afrin detained Sarbast Masam Mohammed (41 years old) from Sharan sub-district, along with another individual from Baadina town whose name has not been confirmed.

These arrests are reportedly based on accusations of past affiliations with the Autonomous Administration, which left Afrin nearly seven years ago, or its operations in the Shahba region of northern Aleppo.
