According to our correspondent, the “Sultan Murad Division” militia abducted Mohiuddin Muhammad, born in 1983, from the village of Kubak in the Mobata/Maabatli district yesterday. They also confiscated his Hyundai pickup truck in the Al-Zaydiyah neighborhood of Afrin.
The correspondent added that the abduction occurred after Muhammad demanded the return of his house near the cemetery in the neighborhood, which had been seized since 2018.
Noting that Muhammad, who is married and a father of four, returned to his home from Aleppo, where he had been displaced, about two months ago.
In a related development, Turkish authorities released Muhammad Muhammad Barakat, 46, from the village of Kokan in Mobata/Maabatli, on Thursday, May 23. Barakat, who was arrested on May 6 for allegedly participating in night guard duties under the previous Autonomous Administration, was released after being fined $400.
