According to a confidential source in Afrin, Turkish intelligence’s “Political Department” has been conducting interrogations with employees of the Afrin Local Council, overseen by Mohammed Sheikh Rashid, the council’s vice president. These interrogations have been ongoing for approximately twenty days, taking place in batches at the council’s security office.
Interestingly, only Kurdish employees have been subjected to these interrogations, justified by security measures. However, the specific reasons for these interrogations and the nature of the cases under investigation remain undisclosed.
