Our correspondent in Al-Ashrafia neighborhood in Afrin reported that on the night of March 31st, the Military Police militia apprehended Mr. Renas Rashid Mohammed, a 34-year-old resident of Sheikhourzeh village in the Bulbul district. The arrest took place after the militia cordoned off the street where Mr. Renas resides near Al-Ashrafia neighborhood park in the occupied city of Afrin.
Mr. Renas, who returned from Lebanon approximately four months ago, had filed a complaint seeking the return of his house, which had been seized by an IDP. However, instead of addressing his grievance, the Military Police militia fabricated espionage charges against him, leading to his arrest.
“afrinpost” managed to document a total of 80 cases of arrest and abduction in March 2024, including four women. Among these cases are 15 individuals who recently returned, as well as 14 elderly individuals aged between 60 and 85 years old. Additionally, 34 cases of release on bail have been recorded.
