The Turkish intelligence and the Civil Police Militia arrested three citizens from the village of Bebakah in the Bulbul district approximately ten days ago on charges of previous association with the Autonomous Administration in the occupied region of Afrin.

According to our sources, the joint patrol of Turkish intelligence and the Civil Police Militia detained Ziyad Sharaf (49 years old), Abdulrahman Sharaf (62 years old), and Salan Dallou (58 years old), who returned to their village from forced displacement locations (Shahba region) about two months ago.

According to a report issued yesterday, March 2nd, by the Kurdish Democratic Union Party in Syria (PYD), Turkish intelligence and the military police in the Jindires district arrested nine citizens, most of them elderly, from the village of Aghjala on February 15, 2024, on charges of association with the previous Autonomous Administration in Afrin.

The citizens were released after paying a fine of one thousand dollars each, except for Ahmad Mohammad Oso, who remains arbitrarily detained. It is worth noting that most of them had been previously arrested.

The report also mentioned that Turkish intelligence and the military police in the Rajo district arrested Adila Abdul Hamadeh (65 years old), the widow of the late Rashid Haydar from the village of Ba’dina, in mid-February 2024, on charges of association with the previous Autonomous Administration.

Mrs. Hamadeh was released after one day upon payment of a fine of 400 dollars. A month earlier, she had been detained for a day and fined 500 dollars on the same charges, despite her dire poverty and reliance on aid for survival.
