Armed militias affiliated with Turkey persist in the ruthless uprooting of olive trees and engaging in timber trafficking to reap financial gains in the occupied region of Afrin.

In a recent incident, our sources reported that two armed individuals known as “Abu Fayyad and Abu Ali al-Safrani” cut down 38 olive trees near the village of Semalka in the Mobata district, from the fields of citizens “Omar Omar and Abdul Qader Omar” from the village of Sheikhoutka.

Our website reported on February 20 detailed the cutting down of 92 olive trees in Ister and Midanki villages in the countryside of occupied Afrin, allegedly for the purpose of timber trafficking.
