Our correspondent reported that Turkish forces targeted villages and towns in the northern countryside of Aleppo with heavy artillery early on January 30. The extent of the damages is yet to be determined.
The shelling affected villages such as Ahras, Samuqa, Beyloniya, and the vicinity of Tal Rifaat in the Shahba region. It also reached Marnaaz, Al-Malikiyah, Shawargha, Tanab, in the Sherawa district of Afrin’s countryside. Additionally, the Syrian army retaliated by targeting the Turkish forces base in Anab village and the Kuwait Al-Rahma settlement in the Sherawa district, as well as the Turkish base near the National Hospital in Azaz city, and the village of Sijraz in Azaz’s countryside.
Simultaneously, intense clashes erupted between the Afrin Liberation Forces and militias affiliated with “Suleiman Shah/Al-Amshat and the Hamza Division” on the axis of Kimar village in the Sherawa district of occupied Afrin. The exchange of heavy artillery fire between the two sides intensified during the confrontation, with no information available regarding human casualties.
