Our sources in Afrin reported that Turkish intelligence, on January 23, arrested Ali Omar (70 years old) from his residence in Almadara village, Rajo district, accusing him of having a daughter who was a martyr in a Kurdish political party.
Meanwhile, Kurdish engineer Ramzi Haji Rashid from Almadara village remains under arbitrary detention in Afrin’s central prison.
In a previous incident in December 2022, Ramzi (44 years old), also known as Ramadan, was apprehended at a Military Police checkpoint on the Afrin-Rajo road, charged with working for institutions affiliated with the former Autonomous Administration.
