Members of a checkpoint affiliated with the leading figure in the “Hamza Brigade” militia, Mahmoud Ankeer, opened fire on a military vehicle belonging to the “Mua’tasim Brigade” militia. The incident occurred yesterday, January 10, on the road between the villages of Qastal Muqdad and Qurna in the Bulbul sub-district of occupied Afrin.
According to our correspondent, a member of the “Mua’tasim Brigade” militia, named Omar Khalil, alias “Holako,” was smuggling a person in the militia’s vehicle into Turkey. The vehicle did not stop at the checkpoint of the “Hamza Brigade,” prompting the checkpoint elements to open fire. This resulted in the injury of the member “Holako” with a gunshot to the head and the death of the person accompanying him.
