On October 3rd, the Syrian regime’s army intensified its ground shelling on positions held by the “Hayat Tahrir al-Sham” organization along various fronts, including Kabana in the northern Latakia countryside, Sarmin, Al-Fatirah, Majdaliya, and Ma’arbelit in the southern Idlib countryside. The shelling involved heavy artillery and rocket launchers, resulting in the death of one fighter on the Kabana front in the Latakia countryside.
In a related development, Turkish forces shelled the village of Maranaz in the Sharan sub-district of the occupied Afrin region yesterday evening. This bombardment coincided with the reconnaissance aircraft flying over the area. Fortunately, the damages were limited to material losses only.
Furthermore, two members of Turkish-backed forces and “Hayat Tahrir al-Sham” organization were killed due to injuries sustained during clashes that occurred last September. These clashes were a result of disputes over control of the Hamran border crossing in the northeastern countryside of Aleppo.
