afrinpost-Exclusive

On September 8th, the Turkish army and Syrian National Army militias targeted the vicinity of the villages of Aqiba, Abbin, and Miyasa in the Sherawa subdistrict of Afrin with heavy artillery and mortar shells.

This bombardment followed intense clashes that occurred the previous evening between the Afrin Liberation Forces and National Army militias on the Kafr Kalbin axis in the northern Aleppo countryside. Both sides engaged in reciprocal artillery shelling during these confrontations.

Five members of the Hamza Division/Al-Hamzat and Suleiman Shah/Al-Amshat militias were killed, and four others sustained serious injuries during a night-time infiltration operation carried out by the Afrin Liberation Forces. This operation took place at a shared position between al-Hamzat and al-Amshat militias on the Kimareh axis in the occupied Sherawa subdistrict of Afrin.

Among the deceased were identified Abdulrahman Saleh Wazir, Issa Hussein Mustafa, Qusai Hussein Al-Mansour, and two members from the Kanu family, originally from the occupied city of Azaz.
