On September 1st, the Syrian regime’s army conducted heavy artillery shelling on the Turkish base located in Bilyoun town. This base is considered the largest Turkish military facility in Jabal Al-Zawiya in the southern countryside of Idlib.
Simultaneously, the shelling targeted the villages of Al-Fatira and Al-Malaja in the southern countryside of Idlib. There is currently no information available regarding human casualties resulting from these attacks.
In a related development, the Syrian regime’s army launched a fierce assault on positions held by the “Hayat Tahrir al-Sham” organization and the Turkistan Islamic Party on the Al-Malaja axis in the southern countryside of Idlib.
Intensive artillery shelling also targeted supply lines of the Hayat Tahrir al-Sham organization in Al-Fatira village. This represents an attempt by the Syrian regime’s army to regain control of Al-Malaja village, which it lost during battles in the previous week.
