According to our correspondent, Turkish authorities have arrested five individuals in the Rajo and Jindires sub-districts on charges of association with the previous Autonomous Administration in Afrin. Two of them were released after paying a financial ransom, while the fate of the others remains unknown.
In detail, the Military Police militia, affiliated with the Turkish forces, arrested three individuals in Rajo on July 16th. Among them were two brothers, Khalo and Ismail Aref Bermalo, both in their fifties, and Abdou Jafar Sido, a resident of the village of Badina. They were accused of participating in nightly guard duty during the previous Autonomous Administration in Afrin.
Our correspondent clarified that the Military Police militia summoned the three individuals and arrested them upon their arrival at their headquarters. On the same day, Khalo Aref Bermalo was released after paying a sum of $200, while the other two remain detained at the militia’s headquarters in Rajo.
Additionally, on July 15th, the Military Police militia in Jindires arrested Hussein Rashid Hamza (39 years old) on charges of belonging to the village council (Kumin), and Murad Hussein Mohammed (26 years old) for allegedly performing compulsory military service. They are both residents of the village of Kafr Safra in the Jindires sub-district. The detainees were transported to Afrin city, and Murad Hussein Mohammed was released after paying a financial guarantee, while the fate of Hussein Rashid Hamza remains unknown.
On another note, the Police militia in Rajo released the citizen Radwan Mustafa Haji on July 16th after he paid a sum of $500 in the town of Raji in the Afrin countryside. Radwan Haji Ben Mustafa (55 years old), a resident of the town of Badina, was arrested by the Civil Police militia in Rajo on July 10th on fabricated charges related to his alleged involvement with the previous Autonomous Administration in Afrin.
