Yesterday, residents discovered the lifeless body of 17-year-old Fatima Hamou Hussein in her home in the village of Bajar Qas, located in the Sherawa sub-district of the Afrin region (Non-Turkish-Controlled Areas). Her body was subsequently transferred to a nearby hospital in the town of Zahra.
According to local sources, Fatima was alone at home while her father had gone to the town of Nubl and her mother to the neighboring village of Mazen. Upon their return, they found their daughter’s lifeless body, with multiple gunshot wounds under mysterious circumstances. It should be noted that Fatima was engaged to one of the villagers.
The security authorities affiliated with the Administration of Shahba Regions took custody of the Kurdish girl’s body and handed it over to her family at the Afrin Hospital, while investigations into the circumstances of the crime continue.
This incident comes just three days after 14-year-old Hasna Bahjat Murad took her own life by hanging under mysterious circumstances in her home in Afrin city last Sunday.
