Turkish Forces Arrest Young Man, Release Former Local Council President in Afrin

According to our reporter in Afrin, the Turkish forces have arrested a young man, “Mohammed Ezzeldin Ali” (31 years old), from the village of Moseka, about a week ago, in al-Ashrafieh neighborhood of the occupied city of Afrin, on charges of performing mandatory service during the previous Autonomous Administration in Afrin.

In the same context, the Turkish authorities released the former president of the local council of Jindires, “Sobhi Rizk”, yesterday, Monday, after more than two and a half years of detention.

On September 9, 2020, the “Military Police” militia raided the building of the local council in Jindires, arrested citizen “Sobhi Rizk”, and took him to their headquarters in the city, and handed him over to the Turkish intelligence on charges of dealing with the previous Autonomous Administration.
