Local Resident Abducted After Demanding Property Restoration from “Al-Hamzat” Militia

Local sources have revealed that Mr. Ibrahim Mustafa, a resident of Jwaiq village near Afrin city, was abducted by the Turkish-allied “Al-Hamza/Al-Hamzat” militia eight days ago. Upon Mr. Mustafa’s insistence on reclaiming his home and his father’s property from the “Al-Hamzat” militia, the abduction took place.

Mr. Ibrahim, 36 years old, had been residing with one of his relatives in the village, as his properties were seized by the militia since they took control of the village. His whereabouts remain unknown to this day.

afrinpost” has documented 20 cases of arrests and abductions during March 2023, including 15 residents of Afrin, in addition to one arrest that took place on Turkish territory. Meanwhile, 11 cases of release have been documented.
