Armed IDPs Seize Four Homes of Local Resident in Afrin

afrinpost

According to our reporter in Afrin, armed IDPs have seized four homes belonging to a Kurdish resident and refused to pay rent despite his numerous attempts to file complaints with the Turkish authorities.

The IDPs have taken over four homes owned by “Mohammed Abdo” from the village of Hekêçê, located in the Şiyê/Sheikh al-Hadid district in the occupied Afrin countryside. The homes are located in al-Ashrafiya neighborhood of Afrin city.

Mohammed Abdo has lodged several complaints with both the civilian and military police, but they have shown no interest in addressing his grievances. On the contrary, the armed IDPs have threatened him and refused to pay rent for their occupation of his properties.

Our reporter added that in his latest attempt to seek justice, Mohammed Abdo has filed a complaint with the military judge, but so far, no action has been taken to uphold his rights by the relevant authorities.

The Turkish-affiliated forces continue to sell homes belonging to Kurdish citizens, while continuing to violate the rights and seize the properties of the original Kurdish inhabitants of the Afrin region.
