Reliable sources in Afrin reported that the assistant chief of the military police, known as “Abu Haydar Alulu,” imposed one thousand dollars on residents of Al-Fil Street in Al-Ashrafiya neighborhood who regained their previously seized homes by the “Al-Jabha Al-Sham” militia with the assistance of the “Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham” organization.
“The former leader of the “Al-Jabha Al-Sham” militia, Abu Haydar, settled his situation and returned to work with the former leader of “Al-Shamiya” militia, Ahmad Kabso Abu Jamal, who is currently the head of the military police militia in Afrin. They work together to reclaim the properties that were previously under their control before being expelled”, the sources confirmed.
The sources explained that the “Al-Jabha al-Shamiya” militia has returned to Afrin city through some of its members who joined the military police and resumed their looting and plundering of the Kurdish residents in the occupied region.
The head of the military police, Ahmad Kabso Abu Jamal, upon his return to Afrin, demanded that the owners of commercial properties under his control on the service road, around the industrial area, and the Hal market, pay rent under threat of eviction and imprisonment.
In another incident of theft and robbery, an IDP from Ghouta, backed by the militias, stole the entire contents of the house of the citizen “Omar Rashid” from the village of Beleh in the Bulbul district, taking advantage of the owner’s temporary move to his village due to the earthquake. The house is located on the first floor of a residential building near the industrial area in Al-Ashrafiya neighborhood in the occupied city of Afrin.
