Al-Hamzat Cut Down 40 Olive Trees in Jindires as Revenge for Refusal of Free Firewood

afrinpost– Exclusive

According to reliable sources, certain members of the Turkish-affiliated “Al-Hamza/Al-Hamzat” militia reportedly cut down 40 olive trees in the Jindires sub-district approximately ten days ago. This action was taken due to the field owner’s refusal to grant them free firewood.

The field, which is situated between the Andareh junction and the Tillif village in the Jindires sub-district, is owned by citizen “Abdulrahman Hamsoro” from the local village. The militia cut down 25 trees entirely and partially cut 15 olive trees.

According to the sources, the incident was an act of revenge by the Hamzat militants against citizen “Abdulrahman” because he denied them free firewood. Despite his house being just 3 to 4 kilometers away from his field, he was unable to stop them due to fear for his life.
