Afrin, Syria – Turkish-affiliated militias have continued their attacks on private and public properties in Afrin, violating the human rights of the inhabitants of the region. These militias act without any legal or humanitarian deterrent.

According to our reporter in the city, the Suleiman Shah Brigade militia (Al-Amshat) has dismantled the cement electrical poles located within their controlled areas in the occupied Afrin region. These poles were then sold to the Afrin Electricity Company for a sum of $200 per cement pole. It is worth noting that the cost of pouring one pole currently costs approximately $1500.

In another incident, a member of the group called “Abu Haydar” affiliated with the “Suleiman Shah / Al-Amshat” militia sold the house of the Kurdish citizen Mohammed Sadiqi (from the people of Khalnereh village) located near the old post office building in Afrin to an IDP from Idlib named “Ahmed Khaddour” for a sum of $1500. The armed man belongs to the security headquarters located in Azadi Square in the center of the occupied Afrin city.
