Young Man Abducted by Pro-Turkey Leader in Afrin, Ransom Demanded

The leader of the “al-Mu’atasem” militia, “Abu Bilal al-Mawali,” along with a group of his elements, abducted the young man “Moussa Al-Battoushi” from the Arab tribe of Al-Battoushi, who is 30 years old, from his home in the village of Ister in the Afrin countryside, last night on February 12th.

Our reporter added that the leader known as “Ahmed al-Sultan” or “Abu Bilal al-Mawali” demanded a ransom of 8 thousand dollars in exchange for the release of the young man, threatening to kill him if his family filed a complaint against him.

Residents of the Jindires town have been subjected to an attack by armed militants belonging to the “Jaish al-Sharqiya” militia on February 1st. One of them was abducted and was released the next day after paying a ransom.
